The HBG has had approximately 15 rides underneath me and he currently has a solid walk and trot on the rail. He has cantered on the rail, but that is not what I am trying to work for right now. I hope to have him foolproof at the walk/trot/canter and bending by 1 September. He is the ULTIMATE thigh master. If you take your leg off for a second, he says "Oh, you mean stop? Okay." *andyoubettersituporthejoltWILLlaunchyourass*; his entire body just shuts down. If you keep your leg on him, he goes and goes and goes- he is just a people pleaser, and he makes honest attempts. He does not care about a THING, nothing bothers him anymore than a fly would. Well, he might twitch an ear to look at the skeeeeery object, but that is it. The only thing he is funny about is his face, he HATES it when I touch his face, even for a second; he probably believes he is going to DIE. We are working on that...
Anyway, I am off to go ride the HBG. I will get pictures as soon as actually get some. =]
I will be putting another blog up about my adventures as a new AQHA youth rider campaigning for Youth World in 2009 on a 4 yo Artful Move filly, so watch for that. The more I think of the task at hand, the more I want to stay in my Circle Of Chickenshit. Or not...
